This villa is a stunning vacation retreat located at the southern coast of Paros, away from the crowds that flood the island during high season, close to the charming seaside village of Aliki and steps away from a small beach. Blending the island’s architectural vernacular and the principles of contemporary minimalism, the residence comprises a bundle of different sized blocks that are oriented toward the seascape. The generous outdoor areas are defined manicured patches of greenery and free-standing walls that are strategically placed to protect the outdoor areas from the winds while leaving them exposed to the spectacular sea-vistas. The structure’s clean, elegant lines and less-is-more philosophy are echoed by the interiors. The subtle palette, mind-calming swaths of empty space, and bare walls create a neutral backdrop for the soothing blue hues of the sea and sky that come in through the windows. The living area is airy and bright, fit with vast glass doors that make it feel like an extension of the terrace. The materials are natural to complement the neutral palette and convey a tranquil, cosy ambience. The decoration is minimal with island-inspired references that are beautifully blended with contemporary details.
